A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up!

A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: Are you crazy? HELLOoooo…….. Cocoabeans! Another vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape!
Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

And remember:
'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride!'

maru, nu-ti fa griji, baga in tine*. Caci continuand in spiritul sfaturilor puse de oanagabriela, si in ton cu titlul subiectului, "in forma si frumoase", rezulta ca:
- cercul este si el o forma, deci daca te faci rotunda se cheama ca esti in forma, si
- n-ai auzit de intelepciunea populara care proclama ca femeia trebuie sa fie "grasa si frumoasa"?
Voila! Iata ca poti sa mananci si in acelasi timp sa fii in forma si frumoasa!

Eu v-am zis ca va citesc de pe margine. Mai mult pt ca eu nu sunt constanta, nu tin nici o dieta decat ca imi impun sa mananc putin si mai am de slabit doar vreo 4 kg. Dar se lasa duse greu!

O intrebare si o sugestie poate. Voi aveti undeva un loc unde salvati retetele astea magice? Ca mi-a placut mult reteta Doniei cu ton, dar lenesa cum sunt nu am salvat-o si acum mi-ar place. Cred ca ar fi de ajutor un document cu toate retetele astea bune si incercate!

Carmen, din amintiri retetea:
- 10-12 frunze de salata Romaine
- 1/2 conserva de ton
- 1 ou fiert
- 2 linguri dressing Caesar Light
Cred ca ultima data am pus si un celery stalk, o data sotul a pus si o jumatate de ardei rosu... ideea e ca se poate improviza.

Eu azi m-am cantarit, desi nu era zi de cantar, si vad ca semne bune anul are! Ceea ce va doresc si voua!

Donia, eh, o soacra neagra care sa ma caute pe la coaste sa vada daca m-am iongrasat imi trebuia mie...

si eu m-am cantarit, mi-a venit dusmanu (adica cantarul inapoi acasa) si vorba Doniei, semne bune se vad...Acu sper sa nu ma filmeze ai mei pe ascuns cand imi fac cardio si injur pe Bob cu toata gura. Level 1 e cu Bob, da level 2 am vazut ca e cu hitlerista de Gillian!

eu am mancat multa salata cu ton in sarcina ca n-aveam oricum ce manca din cauza diabetului gestational. imi place mult, o faceam in diferite variante si cu castraveciori murati taiati marunt, si cu rosii mici etc. dar numai cu ton trimis de mama din italia, eu nu-l pot manca pe asta de aici, imi vine sa vars cand desfac cutia. voi de care cumparati?
in rest, dau la eliptical si fugaresc copii la greu.

O sa incerc si eu retele voastre cu ton. Eu o fac asa:

- 1 conserva ton in apa (apa scursa), pestele maruntit in castron
- 1 conserva porumb dulce boabe (apa scursa, porumbul spalat in sita sub jet de apa rece) pus peste peste
- (optional) 2 rosii medii taiate marunt
- sare, piper, busuioc, ulei masline dupa gust (in loc de ulei de masline se poate folosi si doua linguri de maioneza)

Se amesteca. Bun-bun!!! (Mai ales cand nu am timp sau chef sa fac altceva pentru micul dejun )
